Club of the Year

The Big Night
The Big Night
On 2 June 2009, the Men's club received the ANU Sport and Recreation Association's highest honour, being awarded the SRA's Club of the Year award for 2008 at the SRA's annual award night. The award is given to the club that strives to give the greatest service to its members. On the evening, Andrew Pratley received the SRA Peter McCullagh award for service to the Men's hockey club and the sport of hockey. Elliott Christian was awarded a half-Blue award from the SRA for his representative achievements in season 2008. Congratulations to Andrew, Elliott and everyone involved in the club - the awards ceremony was a great reflection on our achievements last season on and off the field.

Big Club Cup

Round 9 also saw the Men's club retain the 'Big Club Cup', a challenge against the Tuggeranong club, which has been revived in season 2009 after a hiatus. Well done to all teams who triumphed on the day against Tuggers.

Season 2009 Fees and Registration

You should not be playing by now if you haven't registered for the club, paid fees and attended to any SRA membership requirements that apply to you. You would be at risk of not being selected, particularly as the clubs are pretty full up this year. But just in case you need to know, here are the links Men's Fees | Women's Fees

And make sure you're on the correct email list because this is how we communicate with members.

Season 2009 Welcome

Welcome visitors to our clubs' new website. It's a little no frills at the moment, but we're assured it will soon take shape... in the meantime, here's a message from the club:

Hello to our new members, and welcome back to old members.

We have started the season fantastically, and looking forward to on-field success this year, as well as good times off the field with our teams, our club mates and supporters. Notwithstanding the global economic crunch we are planning the usual coverage of every senior hockey grade, as well as a range of lavish social events and other offerings that go with being long-established, vibrant and successful sporting organisations.

You will need to have paid fees by now if you want to get on the field to play. All you need to know about fees is under 'information' for the relevant club in the links on the left.

We would still welcome any new players - so get in touch with us if you're still looking for a club.

And don't hesitate to e-mail or call one of the committee members if you have any questions.
